BTS SME Management

Graduate degree

The management assistant carries out his mission alongside the manager of a small or medium firm or a senior executive. He is his direct collaborator. His mission is characterized by a great versatility in the administrative sector. The polyvalence of the management assistant enables him :

  • To participate to the operational management of the firm in its administrative, accounting, commercial, human dimensions .
  • To contribute to the improvement of its efficiency by optimizing its organisation.
  • To ensure its sustainability by anticipating its needs, supporting its development and participating to the control of its business.

Generally speaking,the management assistant is brought to draw the manager’s attention on the problems or opportunities identified and thus formulating action proposals.
Owning a laptop is compulsory to be as close as possible to professional requirements and for a good management of group projects.

The trainee must show his ability in carrying out a great variety of tasks in the commercial, administrative and financial fields. Templates of professional assignments to be achieved during the internship.

Field Commercial

  • Welcoming customers, giving information, advising, selling.
  • Market research, needs, competition.
  • Promoting business development and customer loyalty.
  • Commercial communication (commercial letters, flyers, presentation brochure …)
  • Handling after-sales service, dealing with claims ;
  • Searching for providers and benchmarking them.
  • Satisfaction survey.
  • Follow up tables and statistics.
  • Digital communication, online reputation (Blog, social networks).

Administrative Field

  • Switchboard work.
  • Writing out mails, letters , mailshots.
  • Follow up tasks, sketching out or implementing admin processes : Handling selling or purchasing process (dealing with estimates , orders, invoices).
  • Logistics : management of supplies , stock , deliveries, national and international transport.
  • Handling storage and the sharing of information.
  • Managing suppliers «and clients» databases
  • Planning meetings, events , business trips.
  • Achieving slide shows
  • Achieving scoreboards

Accounting Field

  • Checking customers’ solvency.
  • Follow up of payments and sending reminders in case of arrears.
  • Tracing purchases recordings sales and payments.
  • Follow up of treasury accounts, customers’ and suppliers’ accounts, incoming and outgoing payments.
  • VAT declaration.
  • Interface between SMEs and banks , chartered accounting offices , the State

Après un baccalauréat professionnel commerce au lycée Javouhey, je me suis dirigée vers un BTS Assistant de gestion PME-PMI (devenu BTS Gestion de la PME) dans l’objectif de développer mes compétences et mes connaissances dans la gestion d’une entreprise (administration, ressources humaines, communication, comptabilité…).

Le BTS Assistant de gestion PME-PMI est une formation très intéressante grâce à sa polyvalence qui nous permet d’avoir une vision globale du monde de l’entreprise et très complète et enrichissante grâce aux stages et au projet professionnel. De plus, l’ensemble de l’équipe pédagogique du Sup’Javouhey se tient toujours à disposition des étudiants afin de mettre toutes les chances de leur côté pour l’obtention du diplôme. A l’issu de mon BTS, j’ai postulé à l’UBO et ai été recrutée sur un poste de secrétaire pédagogique à la faculté de droit pour une durée maximum de 3 ans.
